Good Faith Exam

A “Good Faith Exam” (GFE) is a thorough medical assessment carried out by a qualified healthcare provider prior to a client receiving IV hydration or IM injections. This exam remains valid for one year unless the client’s health status changes significantly, such as a new diagnosis, or if they are looking to undergo a different procedure not included in the initial GFE.

The primary objective of the GFE is to determine whether the proposed treatment is safe and suitable for the individual, considering their overall health, medical history, and any potential contraindications. It ensures that clients are well informed about the procedure, including its benefits, potential risks, alternatives, and aftercare. This way, they can make a truly informed decision about their treatment.
